Promotion Activities in India
The Organising Committee of China International Auto Parts Expo. sent a delegation to Delhi, India for the promotion of CIPAE 2008 from 10th January to 15th January 2008.
The delegation actively promoted China International Auto Parts Expo. extensively during the Auto Expo India 2008 at Pragati Maindan, co-organized by Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), and Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) from 10th-17th, January, 2008, which aroused great interests among both exhibitors and visitors. By visiting more than 1,000 enterprises, many Indian enterprises extended their interests in participating in the CIAPE 2008. In addition, the delegation also visited the international exhibitors and organizers such as the French stands headed by UBIFRANCE, the Canadian stands, as well as the stands of the exhibitors from Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom. China International Auto Parts Expo., as the largest and the only specialized exhibition focused on the auto parts sector in China, won extensive attention from the international sectors. Dozens of companies from Taiwan signed the Space Application Form immediately on the spot, in the hope of reserving a relatively good location during CIAPE 2008. Mr. Alexander Klose, CEO Volvo Car China, soon approached the Organizing Committee of the China International Auto Parts Expo for more information upon hearing of the exhibition from his Indian counterpart.
A press conference for the 2008 China International Auto Parts Expo was launched at the Office Building of Indian Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) on 14th January, 2008, jointly organized by the Organizing Committee and ITPO. Mr. Peng Gang, Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in India attended the Press Conference and made a speech about China-India Trade and Cooperation. The audience from some countries such as UK expressed to the Organising Committee that they would bring the promotion material back for further studies and expressed great interest in visiting or participating in the 2008 China International Auto Parts Expo.
In addition, the delegation signed a Cooperation Agreement with Indian Trade Promotion Organization, which will greatly increase the number of participating enterprises from India after the establishment of the cooperation relationship.
During the expo, the delegation also established extensive contacts with the Indian automotive media, such as Motor India, etc.
